Introduction

Review
This tubular was tested in all situations and competitions, including mud and dry days. The Tufo XC2 tubular born to land sliding and dry, typical of modern cross-country races, and is offered at a list price of 90 €. The section is 2.0 (50mm) and its weight is 450gr. The first sensations, much as the design of the sliding tubular, are of extreme speed and responsiveness of the bike. On land sliding combining the best of the speed a good grip, since the very soft compound used. This is a big advantage, but many may not like the idea of seeing the XC2 consumed in a "short" time. In our tests we saw that Tufo XC2 (in rear position) has a duration of around 400km (which increases when used in field training or with a clean driving style). Beyond this threshold marks the start to get too worn out to have the same initial properties, and this leads to only recommend the use of tubulars in the race, also for the fact of not easy to repair if punctured. Of course the front, flat tyre permits, the duration is doubled. To avoid in marathon race with many rocks which damage the very soft casing tubular of greatly increasing the risk of puncture/flat. The XC2, in essence, the rear position tire is a great tubular that enters into crisis when dealing with very difficult for many soils exposed roots or rocks, this course due to the design a little piece of the tubular, but when the ground is good is excellent. Excellent also in flat races with low technical content. In front position, because of the characteristics described above, hasn't fully convinced us for little section and few "tessellation/grip". Another aspect which is in crisis is the wet (especially the wet roots) where rider with little experienced entered in difficult with xc2 in rear/front position. This tubular has a discrete tessellation of mud but the space between a notch and make the other poor if you have to deal with a muddy tract is not expected. At the end of testing, in front position, we have chosen XC4 model (514gr).
To conclude the XC2 tubular racing remains a good tubular with dry and compact conditions.
