Friday still Cyprus Sunshine Cup

Il secondo round della Cyprus Sunshine Cup avrà inizio venerdì con un gara di staffetta (team relay) seguita sabato da una marathon sui Monti Ciprioti e Domenica, per finire, prova di Cross Country. La tre giorni è chiamata Atxentia Stage Race e sarà una gara molto ambita per quei corridori che vogliono conquistare importanti punti UCI. Infatti la manifestazione avrà una sua classifica generale a tempo che darà un bel bottino di punti UCI ai primi classificati, senza contare i punti per le singole tappe.
L'appuntamento è dunque fissato per venerdì pomeriggio quando i biker si raduneranno presso la località "Mantra tou Kampiou" dove si gareggierà sullo stesso percorso della Domenica con un tracciato di 5,5km. Risultano iscritti 120 elite e 50 donne open. Tra gli iscritti tutti i maggiori top rider del panorama internazionale come Jaroslav Kulhavy, il francese Maxime Marotte, i fratelli svizzeri della Lukas e Mathias Flückinger, Manuel Fumic, Fabian Giger, Wolfram Kurschat, Liam Killeem ed il campione del mondo under 23 Thomas Litscher.
In campo femminile occhi puntati sulla danese Annika Langvad, che dovrà vedersela molto probabilmente con la tedesca Spitz, le slovene Klemencic, Zakely e Hurikova.

The second round of the Cyprus Sunshine Cup will start on Friday with a relay race (team relay), marathon race on Saturday and XC on Sunday. The three day event is called Atxentia Stage Race and race will be very desirable for those bikers who want to conquer important UCI points. In fact, the event will have it's overall time that will make more UCI points to the winners, not counting the points for the individual steps.
The appointment is therefore set for Friday afternoon when the bikers will gather at the location "Mantra tou Kampiou" where riders will race on the same track of Sunday. 120 Elite and 50 womens are enrolled. Among all the major members of the international top riders like Jaroslav Kulhavy, the Frenchman Maxime Marotte, the Swiss brothers Lukas and Mathias Flückinger, Manuel Fumic, Fabian Giger, Wolfram Kurschat, Liam Killeem and the world champion under 23 Thomas Litscher.
In the women favored the Danish Annika Langvad, which most likely will have to deal with Sabine Spitz,Tanja Zakely and Tereza Hurikova.
