Durante una delle prime batterie dell'XCE svoltasi ieri è avvenuta una rottura molto singolare. La batteria era composta dal vincitore di Nove Mesto Freiburghaus, dal corridore Scott Wildhaber, dal francese Perrin Ganier e dallo svizzero Forster Lars. A circa metà percorso ecco il fattaccio, lo svizzero Forster salta la scala in modo impeccabile senza toccare quasi nessun gradino però, superato l'ostacolo, la ruota sembra cedere ed allo successivo marciapiede la ruota si apre letteralmente in due crepandosi sul colpo e gettando a terra il giovane corridore svizzero. La ruota è una DT Swiss (versione in carbonio), forse già segnata in precedenza da una caduta o contrassegnata da un difetto di fabbrica, visto che il modello in questione è stra utilizzato tra i pro della MTB.

Oggi di scena l'ultima tappa della Coppa del Mondo XCE Eliminator con i successi dello svizzero Patrick Lüthi e della svedese Jenny Rissveds.
Oggi in Francia altra tendenza nello stile del percorso, infatti dopo una prima gara priva di particolari spunti tecnici, una secondo più da ciclocross che da mtb finalmente si è visto un tracciato più da mtb anche se l'asfalto la faceva ancora da padrone. Nella finale si presentano le svedesi Rissved Jenny ed Engen Alexandra, Stirnemann Kathrin e Fry Rowena. Era la giovane svedese Rissveds che partiva davanti ed andava a vincere, seguita dalla connazionale Engen. Terza la Stirnemann e quarta la Fry.
Nella gara maschile sono arrivati in finale lo sloveno Miha Halzer, gli svizzeri Patrick Lüthi e Stefan Peter e l'americano Brian Lopes. Quest'ultimo rischiava la squalifica accennando una falsa partena ma prontamente si ferma partendo quindi male e trovandosi 4° alla prima curva. Lopes li avvicinava minacciandoli da vicino per alcuni istanti ma poi erano i due svizzeri a controllare la parte finale della gara con il successo finale di Patrick Lüthi, il secondo posto di Stefan Peter e il terzo dello statunitense Brian Lopes.
